With nearly thirty years’ experience in business strategy, talent development, leadership growth, and all aspects of HR and culture development, Mike has partnered with companies across 31 industries, refining a proven system of driving results through people for organizations of all sizes. 

Prior to founding trueU, Mike was the Chief People Officer at DEFENDERS, where he led the Leadership & Development and HR departments to rapid, uncharted expansion. Under his direction, DEFENDERS gained recognition as the 17th Top Training Organization in the world by Training Magazine.

With the spirit of a true entrepreneur, Mike never stops seeking ways to grow, improve, diversify, and shape trueU. He shares his knowledge gained from years of leadership to inspire and motivate other entrepreneurs and leaders to reach their greatest potential by offering coaching, mentorship, and hands-on guidance. Additionally, Mike shares insights on business, leadership, and personal growth as the co-host of the Lucky 13 Podcast, All Things People and Profit in Business. 

Outside of work, Mike is a devoted husband and father to 5 children, a man of faith, and an ardent Indiana University sports fan, his Alma Mater. He lives the principles he teaches and is dedicated to serving others in every aspect of life.
